Pelle's New Suit by Elsa Beskow

Pelle is in need of a new suit. He decides to shear his lamb and gets the wool carded, spun, dyed, woven and made into a fine new suit. He only accomplishes this by exchanging his labor for the skills of his relatives and friends. Ages 4 - 9. Hardcover, full-color pictures, 8x11 inches.

 Elsa Beskow (1874-1953), an author and illustrator of children's books, was perhaps the best known of all Swedish children's book artists. Her books are continually reprinted, and many are classics. She also illustrated ABC books and songbooks for Swedish schools.
